This policy covers how Magi handles personal information and cookies. Please read it together with the Terms of service.

Magi is run by n4so as an individual. For anything about personal information — including requests to disclose, correct, suspend the use of, or delete your data — please use the contact form linked from the Contact page.
Account details. When you sign up, your email address is obtained through Amazon Cognito. Your display name and icon are whatever you set yourself.
Builds you post. Your region file is opened inside your browser, and only the chunks overlapping the area you selected are sent to the server. The world name, the seed and player data are never sent. The title you type is stored with the build.
Access logs. The CDN and the servers record IP addresses, user agents, referrers and timestamps.
Cookies and browser storage. A cookie keeps you signed in. Analytics and advertising cookies are also used, as described below. localStorage remembers your language, and IndexedDB caches rendering assets so pages load without going back to the network.
To run the service (converting and displaying builds, keeping you signed in), to prevent abuse and investigate faults, to understand usage and improve the service, and to serve and measure advertising.
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to understand how it is used. It sets cookies and sends to Google the address of the page you are on, the page you came from, the region estimated from your IP address, and your browser and device type.
The data is read as statistics and is not used to identify you. Your email address, display name and any other account identifier are never sent to it.
You can stop this collection at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you allow them in the consent management platform shown on the site.

The contact form is a Google Form. Sending it requires a Google account, and that account's email address is recorded together with what you enter; all of it is stored on servers operated by Google LLC in the United States. The address is used only to reply to you and to identify the account an enquiry is about.
The service itself runs on Amazon Web Services in the Tokyo region. For the data protection regimes of these countries and the measures each company takes, please refer to the privacy policies they publish.
If a state privacy law such as the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to you, you may direct that your personal information not be sold or shared. Use the consent management platform shown on the site, or Google's Ads Settings, to make that choice.
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are held by Amazon Cognito and never reach this service. The original region data you upload is kept in private storage that is not publicly readable.
On request from the person concerned, the operator will disclose, correct, suspend the use of, or delete the personal data held about them. Please use the contact form. You can also delete your own builds at any time from My page.
Note that deletion removes a build from listings and from its URL, but the operator keeps the stored data so that the same file is not reprocessed. It is no longer served through the site.
This service is not intended for children under 13, and personal information is not knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and it will be deleted.
This policy may be revised as the law or the service changes. When that happens, the revised policy is published on this page in advance, together with its effective date. If you hold an account, you will be asked to confirm your agreement when you next post a build after it takes effect.
