Yes. Posting, viewing and creating an account are all free, and there is nothing to pay for anywhere in the service.
Not to look around. You need to sign in with an email address to post a build or to save favorites.
No. A build page opens in a browser, so you can show a build to someone who has never played.
Any browser with WebGPU support. Recent Chrome and Edge are the safest bet; current versions of Safari and Firefox work too. If a build refuses to render, updating the browser usually fixes it.
Viewing works well on phones — drag to orbit, pinch to zoom. Posting means handling a file from your world save, so a desktop is easier.

Not at the moment. Magi reads Java Edition region files only.

A build has to contain between 2 and 100,000 blocks, not counting air. Over the ceiling the post is rejected, so narrow the area and generate the preview again.
One build has to fit inside a single region file, which covers 512×512 blocks, and an area that crosses a file boundary cannot be selected. Post the parts separately, or pick the section that fits.
Yes. Their region files are under DIM-1/region and DIM1/region in the world save. In the viewer's display settings you can switch the dimension so the lighting matches.
Either the coordinates point somewhere else, or those chunks have never been generated — visit the spot in-game once so they load, then try again. In a superflat world the terrain sits between Y = -63 and -50.
It depends on the size of the build. Your page shows Converting while it runs and Public once it is done; press refresh to check.
No. The region file is opened inside your browser and only the chunks that overlap the area you selected are sent to the server, where they are converted into display data.
The coordinates of the area you selected, the title you type, and the front direction you pick. Your world name and its seed are not part of what gets sent.
Deleting removes the build and its page. It cannot be restored, so take a moment before confirming.
Yes — builds are public by design, and there is no link-only or private mode. If you would rather it were not up, delete it.
Not right now. Search tags are curated on our side so that the same category always means the same thing.
Search matches tags (#tag) and creator IDs (@id), not titles. To browse, use the front page, a tag, or the calendar to pick a date.
It unfurls into a card with the build's title and a picture of it, on X, Discord and anywhere else that reads link previews.
Leaving sign-up before the code is entered keeps the address in a half-registered state for a while, and retrying during that time keeps failing. Wait about two hours, then start the sign-up again from the beginning.
Yes. The icon is a single emoji, the ID is 3–20 characters using letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores. Both can be changed once every 30 days.
Yes, from the heart on any build. They collect on the favorites tab of your page.
No. Magi is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang.
